Not only the return. Didn’t think it was a particularly well placed 2nd serve from Cressy on SP and his net approach was far too square, not as in line with his serve direction as it cld hv been.
I'm not sure anyone could expect Cressy to hit a better 2nd serve than that on set point. He hit it on to the back edge of the service box line at 109mph. Usually that kind of body serve would give him a decent chance at a volley! I think the return was just too hot and caught cressy well behind the service box which would have been a tough ask even if he'd made it.
